What Can You Expect? Download flyer & Registration Form Seasons Greetings Disciple Men, Greetings Disciple Men, It's hard to believe that another year has almost come to a close. I hope this year has been one of many blessings, and also one where opportunities to give of oneself and serve others were in abundance and were fulfilled with great joy and accomplishment. Our annual men's retreat will be Feb. 26-27 at our camp in Guthrie. Some of you probably have already received or seen a copy of this years information regarding the retreat. If so, you will notice we are doing something a little different, yes, I know, we don't always like different but different can be good and I am hopeful and confident it will be. Instead of having one main speaker as in the past, we wil have three different speakers including myself. Our theme this year will be "Man Up" and we will be speaking to what it means to be a man of faith today, and how that might relate to different age groups in todays society. My thanks to Rev. Gary Mitchell who has been very helpful and instrumental in putting a lot of the details together including our theme. We are fortunate to have as our entertainment, the group Delivered, whom I had the privilege of hearing at the central men's meeting in Shawnee. They were great and I think you will agree. We are in the season of Advent. A season of preparation, expectation, hope, and all the mystery and majesty that surrounds the miracle of all miracles, the birth of Jesus the Christ. The one who came into our lives in the form of a baby from Heaven above. The one who came to redeem us and to bring hope and salvation for all mankind. I pray that you and yours will have a blessed Christmas Season and a Happy New Year. Serving with you for Christ, |
