The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Oklahoma is facing a challenge common to many faith groups -- a shortage of qualified ministers to fill vacancies.   Some of these positions are in disadvantaged, small churches that cannot afford full-time ordained clergy.   At the same time, an increasing number of laity are eager to study and serve in ministry positions, and seminary is not a viable option.
