Pentecost Offering Supports New Church Starts

The response to last year’s appeal for the Pentecost Special Offering was overwhelming – an increase of 25 percent over the 2005 offering. In excess of $38,000 was contributed for the important work of establishing new congregations, both here in Oklahoma and across the denomination.

Appreciative of this generosity, the region’s New Church Establishment Council is challenging Oklahoma’s congregations with another ambitious goal for the 2007 Pentecost Offering, knowing that the challenge will be overwhelmingly accepted. The goal set for the 2007 Pentecost Special Offering is $50,000, a 33 percent increase over last year’s generous contributions.
