Living Through The Cross "No Busy Signal" March 11, 2008

There are no busy signals on the God line despite the influx of calls.  That line is alwaysopen!  No voice tells you to Press l-for lonely, 2-for hungry, 3-for unemployed, 4-for sad.

NO!   One line covers all.   D E S T I T U T E" in dire need".   Any one of those feelings can consume, as would a ravaging flood or fire, causing us to question God's constancy.

Write it for the generations to come that God looks down from the heavens and hears every destitute petition.   His for distress is trust in his eternal, unchanging plan.   He is constant.

Prayer: Thank you, always loving, unchanging Father, for hearing my groaning in times when "destitute" would not describe my pleas.   Amen Bettye Willoughby - Southern Hills Christian, Edmond
