Living Through The Cross
"Learning From Loss"February 25, 2008
|
Please read: Psalm 15I am writing this Lenten meditation a few days after Christmas. My dear brother died on Christmas Eve, and my heart has been in turmoil as I try to celebrate Christ’s birth while mourning my loss. How good it is to come to the grown-up Jesus in this quietness of prayer. How good to remember that our savior was no stranger to pain and death.
Oh, how I needed the reassurance of this scripture today!
Oh, how I need to be reminded that I abide with you in your own tent!
Prayer: Risen Lord, keep me mindful as I look toward Easter that your love is stronger than death. Prepare me to receive the new life you have bought for me. Amen
