Living Through The Cross
"All That and a Bag of Chips
|
Please read: Luke 15:11-32The story of the Lost Son,was so anxious to be grown, on his own to enjoy what the world had to offer immediately, is typical thinking of the biological and mental young. When the "good times" faded and the pay back consequencesemerged, the young man could have been devoured by his situation. But, thanks be to God, he came to his senses and remembered his compassionate and forgiving father and decided to return home.
In our daily "living", we too can become enthralled with the getting of stuff: more money, bigger houses, cars, our status in life, forgetting our purposes as children of God. So much so, we can become over-whelmed.
During this Lenten season, like the Lost Son, we can come to our senses by remembering our blessings knowing:
"He forgives your sins--every one.
He heals your diseases--every one.
He redeems you from hell--saves your life!
He crowns you with love and mercy--a paradise crown.
He wraps you in goodness--beauty eternal.
He renews your youth--you're always young in His presence.
God makes everything come out right; he puts victims back on their feet." Psalm 103:3-6 (my paraphrase)
Thanks be to God! Bless his holy name!
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for your Faithfulness, Compassion, Grace and Mercy. Amen
